Pain is great

THE HARRIS YOUTH

1974 - 1977

Motto: Pane, I can't even spell the word

Make it hurt more

Formed in the September of 1974 by Roger Harris following initial work by David Williams the youth were a specially selected force of Portsmouth Grammar School Men (No boys allowed). Subjected to the harshest and most gruelling training regime ever devised (Hornby for Physics was particularly brutal), the successful candidates were awarded a special T-shirt, a slate at The Pembroke and a Party Four of bitter.

Initial entry was based on a single question and answer

Roger ) Explain the Arrhenius equation, derive it using the calculus.

Candidate ) Who the f*** was Arrhenius, bet he drinks weak French lager ?

The youth was officially disbanded in Spring 1977. However an 'Odessa' style organisation is said to exist and it is claimed that occasionally groups of ex-youth meet to drink a pub dry and service local babes.

Gowerton were stuffed in the youth's finest hour !!!!!

This rare picture (captured secretly by our correspondent) shows the youth in there finest hour whilst cunningly fooling the opposition with their very bad haircuts.

MANY Thanks to Pablo for the above photo. A real gem here. This corner flag was liberated on a youth tour to Wales in 1973 (the caravan / beef pit one I think). Signed by most of the team this is invaluable. Note that Fat Sod loves men ( nothing new there then ).
